The next Labour Market Statistics User Group (LMSUG) Conference will be held on 20 March 2012, with themes including Unemployment and Benefits, International Labour Market, High/Low Pay and Public and Private Sector.

  • Changes in the NEETs Demographic – Paul Sissons (Work Foundation)
  • Young people in the labour market – Andrew Damant and Clare Smith (ONS)
  • History of the claimant count – Bill Wells (BIS)
  • Trends in Directors Pay – Steve Tatton (IDS)
  • High and Low Pay in the UK – Tim Butcher (LPC)
  • Public and private sectors by region – Richard Prothero (ONS)
  • Regional pay: fact and fiction – Alastair Hatchett (IDS)
  • Skills requirements in the labour market – TBC (UKCES)
  • Labour Market Outlook – Gerwyn Davies (CIPD)

There will be a charge of £50 per person, and refreshments and lunch will be provided. There are a limited number of spaces and they will be allocated on first come, first served basis.

Additionally, if you have any work you are involved in/planning on carrying out that you feel would be relevant, you are invited to express an interest in presenting a paper at the conference. Deadline for consideration is c.o.p. 20 December 2011.
