New Year Honours

The UK Data Archive congratulates both Lynne Brindley and Roger Jowell who are among those to feature in the 2008 New Year Honours list.

Lynne Brindley, chief executive of the British Library, has been awarded Dame of the British Empire for her services to education. Lynne Brindley is a leading expert on knowledge management.

Professor Roger Jowell of City University, has been awarded a knighthood for his services to social science. Professor Jowell is co-founder and director of the European Social Survey, and an expert on social attitudes and voting behaviour.
