Project MINA linking Archive collections

Article dated: 17 May 2011

Selected UK Data Archive collections are linked in a new resource. The resource is a data map that links Archive data collections which record Bangladeshis in their sample.

The map was created by Project MINA: Migration, nutrition and ageing across the lifecourse in Bangladeshi families.

The MINA project investigates migration, nutrition and ageing using an intergenerational and transnational approach incorporating multidisciplinary methodologies. Part of the project examines Bangladesh women to understand the effects of migration, nutrition and eating patterns on ageing, and used data held by the Archive.

MINA is funded as part of the cross-council New Dynamics of Ageing programme and has also been a case study in the Archive's recently completed Data Management Planning for ESRC Centres and Programmes project.
