Bookings open for Research Methods Festival

The National Centre for Research Methods (NCRM) has opened bookings for the 5th ESRC Research Methods Festival, set for 2-5 July 2012 in Oxford.

This is one of the biggest social science research methods event of the year in the UK, with over 60 sessions, 200 presenters and 800 delegates over four days. This biennial Festival aims to engage social scientists across a wide range of disciplines and sectors and at different points in their research careers. It also aims to stimulate interest, raise issues, highlight opportunities and showcase new developments. The Festival offers more than 60 sessions from introductory to advanced level, an exhibition of PhD student posters, inspiring keynote talks, and an exciting social programme for evenings.

  • career and skills development
  • interventions and evaluations

Keynote speakers include: Sir John Beddington of the Government Office for Science; Andrew Abbot of the University of Chicago; Gillian Rose of the Open University; and Laura Stoker of the University of California at Berkeley.
